White 3C BBQ Sauce — A Tangy, Creamy Grilling Classic from My Sister's Pantry

If you've never tried a white BBQ sauce, you're in for a treat. This Southern-style sauce skips the tomato base entirely and leans into a creamy, tangy, perfectly spiced marinade that transforms grilled chicken into something truly special. Made with our signature 3C Spice blend, this recipe is a My Sister's Pantry original — and once you try it, it'll be a staple at every cookout.

White 3C BBQ Sauce

From the Kitchen of My Sister's Pantry

Ingredients

  • 2/3 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon 3C Spice
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1/2 cup lemon juice
  • 1/2 cup vinegar
  • 3 lbs chicken breasts, thighs, or drumsticks

Directions

  1. In a small bowl, combine the mayonnaise, 3C Spice, and sugar.
  2. Gradually whisk in the lemon juice and vinegar until smooth and well combined.
  3. Pour the marinade over the chicken and let it marinate for at least 30 minutes, overnight in the refrigerator is even better for deeper flavor.
  4. After marinating, grill the chicken over medium-high heat until cooked through.
  5. Optional: Set aside a portion of the fresh marinade before adding the chicken to use as a basting sauce while grilling.

Tips & Notes

  • Overnight marinade = maximum flavor. The lemon juice and vinegar tenderize the chicken beautifully, so the longer it sits, the better.
  • Works on any cut. Breasts, thighs, and drumsticks all shine with this sauce — thighs especially stay juicy on the grill.
  • 3C Spice is the secret weapon here. Pick up a jar from My Sister's Pantry if you haven't already!
